Working closely with Rating Managers, Analysts and Client Managers, you will research commercial property information from a variety of internal and external sources to identify missing and undervalued properties that may impact Business Rates revenue. You will play an important role in ensuring data accuracy, maintaining robust records and helping Local Authorities maximise income through high-quality referrals.

Property Research and Analysis:

  • Research and analyse commercial property data using a range of internal and external sources.
  • Identify potential missing and undervalued hereditaments that meet referral criteria.

  • Accurately record, update and maintain information across company systems.
  • Ensure all property data is processed in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of data integrity across research and delivery activities.
  • Complete quality assurance activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all referrals meet required evidential and compliance standards.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with colleagues across Delivery, Client Management and Data teams.
  • Communicate professionally with Local Authority clients, partner organisations and external agencies.
  • Respond to enquiries and provide supporting information where required.
  • Contribute insights, findings and recommendations to support client outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions and training activities.

Systems and Process Improvement:

  • Contribute ideas that improve research methodologies, workflows and efficiency.
  • Support the ongoing development of internal systems, tools and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reduce manual effort and increase productivity.
  • Help embed consistent approaches and best practice across the research function.

Performance and Accountability

  • Take ownership of assigned research activity and deliver work in line with agreed priorities, quality standards and deadlines.
  • Use feedback, performance data and quality checks to continually improve accuracy, judgement and output.
