Macquarie is hiring a Private Credit Associate for its Specialised Asset Finance team, focused on opportunistic asset-based finance investments across the capital structure - from senior secured debt through structured equity - across sectors including digital infrastructure, energy, industrials, consumer and financial services, on transactions from EUR 50-250M+.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as a principal investor across a strong pipeline of transactions
  • Play a key role in the underwriting process, financial analysis, and industry research
  • Shepherd investments through the internal approval process
  • Take on leadership responsibilities within a growing team, gaining exposure to credit investments and broader capital-structure investing

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in a principal investment role - private credit, opportunistic credit, infrastructure debt, financial advisory, restructuring, or similar
  • Excellent financial, valuation, and credit analysis skills
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and macro/micro economics
  • Outstanding academic record and communication skills
  • Working proficiency in European languages is a plus
