The role spans all aspects of direct lending investing, including sourcing, due diligence, execution, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.Responsibilities include investment due diligence - reviewing diligence reports, interviewing industry experts, and attending management meetings and site visits; financial analysis including detailed LBO modelling and scenario testing; preparing investment memoranda and participating in Investment Committee discussions; portfolio management activities such as monitoring portfolio asset performance and assessing waiver and amendment requests; and assisting senior investment team members in building relationships with sponsors and other external parties.Candidates should have 2-5 years of relevant work experience in a buyside investment role (private credit or private equity), debt advisory, management consulting, investment banking (leveraged finance, M&A), or transaction services. The firm is looking for a passion for investing in mid-market companies, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop close relationships with UK and Benelux industry participants over time, and proficiency in Excel with a demonstrated ability to build and develop LBO models. An excellent academic record from a top UK university or equivalent institution is expected, along with fluent English (Dutch is advantageous).
