UBS is hiring an Investment Officer to join its indirect real estate investment team in London, focused on private-market real estate transactions across EMEA — spanning fund investments, co-investments, joint ventures, recapitalizations, GP stakes and secondaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with origination and execution of fund investments, co-investments, JVs, recapitalizations, and operational, GP-stake and secondaries investments across EMEA.
- Contribute to thought leadership with internal regional teams, evaluating existing portfolios and building external deal flow systematically by market, asset class and preferred/exclusive formats.
- Stay current on market developments to inform sourcing and investment strategies; convert industry insight into investment recommendations and risk assessments.
- Lead workflows liaising with internal committees, legal, operations and tax/structuring staff, and external parties including fund managers, brokers, advisors, consultants, sellers, LPs and lenders; negotiate terms and underwrite investments at asset and portfolio level.
- Lead deal investment processes including legal, tax, commercial, operational and structuring due diligence, managing production of due-diligence materials.
- Manage and coordinate junior staff, particularly on investment underwriting; contribute to underwriting templates for modelling, analysis and valuation across single assets, portfolios, operational real estate and funds.
- Drive production of Investment Committee memoranda.
Qualifications
Sound knowledge of investment strategies and a track record in real estate investment, with interest in indirect real estate investment across high-quality managers, broad transaction types and international exposure.
