The Senior Credit Director will sit within the Credit and Risk team, which partners with all parts of the group to identify, assess and manage risk across the platform. The role focuses on reviewing and challenging lending proposals across multiple verticals including SME Debt Finance, Property Development Finance, Corporate Lending & Leasing, Speciality Finance, and Funds Finance.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and challenge lending proposals across all private credit verticals
- Ensure transactions are approved within risk appetite and credit governance is applied consistently
- Serve as a voting member of Private Credit Credit Committees
- Support the Head of Credit in maintaining portfolio discipline and credit culture
- Work closely with origination teams, product heads and the Head of Credit on deal flow
- Embed risk awareness and credit governance across everyday activity
The ideal candidate will have deep credit underwriting experience in direct lending or private credit markets, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with credit governance frameworks. Experience across SME debt, property finance, or specialty lending is highly desirable.
