About This Role
Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President to join its Global Capital Markets (GCM) Private Capital Markets (PCM) team in London, a group focused on delivering the full spectrum of private market solutions to corporate, financial sponsor, and institutional investor clients. The PCM team works closely with Morgan Stanley investment banking and capital markets partners — including Leveraged Finance, Investment Grade Debt, Securitised Products, and Equity Capital Markets — to originate primary deal flow from issuers and source related financing, hedging, and advisory mandates from investors. This role offers significant exposure to high-profile, pan-European transactions and the opportunity to work alongside senior bankers, clients, and investors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate, structure, and execute a broad range of private capital solutions, including bespoke financings and private placements across the capital structure — covering growth capital, capital structure optimisation, asset monetisation (including investment-grade structured JV transactions), HoldCo and leveraged finance-style structures, and project and acquisition finance.
- Lead financial modelling, analytics, and valuation workstreams within transactions.
- Analyse issuer and asset-level credit fundamentals and assess risk/return dynamics across structures, sectors, and jurisdictions.
- Research market themes, evaluate opportunities, and prepare client materials and pitches across private capital and private market solutions.
- Lead workstreams and project manage transaction processes, coordinating across coverage and product partners.
The Private Capital Markets group sits within Morgan Stanley's Global Capital Markets franchise, which integrates Sales & Trading and Investment Banking expertise to offer clients seamless advice and sophisticated capital markets solutions across public and private placements of equities, investment-grade and non-investment-grade debt, and related structured products.
