The Value Accelerator (VA) team contributes to the success of portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle — from pre-investment diligence and scaling growth to optimizing exit strategies.
The Executive Director within the Value Accelerator's GTM Center of Excellence will collaborate with GS portfolio company management teams in Europe to design and implement go-to-market value creation initiatives. These efforts align to organic growth investment theses underwritten by the Investment Committee.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify opportunities to support Sales, Marketing, Pricing, and Revenue Operations value creation efforts at high-priority European PE portfolio companies.
- Serve as a thought partner to Chief Revenue Officers (CRO) on initiative execution, leveraging operational experience and analytical problem-solving.
- Analyze key GTM operating and performance metrics across the European fund to uncover thematic areas of under- or over-performance at portfolio companies.
- Provide regular updates to CoE GTM and Technology Leads and global leadership on impact capture from current execution efforts or potential value creation opportunities.
- Support implementation of new technologies and digital tools to improve operational efficiency of portfolio companies.
- Manage vendor partnerships and relationships across the portfolio, particularly related to key GTM capability areas.
The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience managing GTM efforts at a PE sponsor, PE-backed portfolio company, or scaled enterprise business, plus 2-3 years at a top management consulting firm. The role is based in London with a reporting line to the New York team; business travel primarily to Europe and New York is required.
