The Senior Software Engineer / Developer will work alongside the Principal Software Engineer and lead a handsâon role in designing, developing, and integrating Generative AI and Machine Learning solutions into the Infor MES product. This role focuses on .NETâbased development, leveraging Infor OS technologies and AI/ML tooling to deliver scalable, cloudânative features. The Senior Developer will collaborate across teams to translate AI concepts into reliable, maintainable, and performant software components that enhance MES capabilities as a SaaS offering.
Day in the Life
- Collaborate closely with the AI Team Lead and crossâfunctional teams to build AI/MLâenabled features within the Infor MES SaaS platform.
- Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions primarily using .NET technologies.
- Integrate Generative AI and Machine Learning tools and services (e.g., MCP, AI agents, OpenAI APIs) into MES workflows.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure software quality and adherence to best practices.
- Assist in documenting architecture, development processes, and operational procedures related to AI/ML integrations.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize AI/MLâpowered software components in the cloud environment.
- Work with Infor OS platform services (identity, workflow, analytics, event streaming) to leverage enterprise integrations.
- Support Agile development processes and actively contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and team collaboration.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven professional software development experience with strong .NET (C#) expertise.
- Practical understanding of AI and Machine Learning concepts with some handsâon experience using AI/ML tools or APIs (e.g., MCP, agents, OpenAI).
- Experience developing cloudâbased SaaS applications, preferably on AWS or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
- Solid understanding of database technologies and data integration principles.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong problemâsolving and debugging skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with crossâfunctional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Infor OS technologies including APIs, workflow automation, eventâdriven architecture, and identity management.
- Prior exposure to Generative AI tools and frameworks, even if not deeply technical in AI model development.
- Familiarity with multiâtenant SaaS environments and cloud security best practices.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud orchestration services.
- Experience working in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
- AWS certifications or equivalent cloud experience.
- Background in MES, industrial software, or manufacturing domain is a plus.
