As a Principal Engineer in the MES Cloud team at Infor, you will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of the transition of Infor MES from an existing on-premises software solution to a robust, scalable, multi-tenant cloud SaaS offering on AWS. You will be responsible for driving technical strategy, ensuring zero downtime deployments, implementing scalable cloud-native patterns, and enabling comprehensive logging and monitoring. Your deep experience with .NET and AWS cloud technologies will be critical to delivering a high-quality SaaS product that meets customer expectations for availability, performance, and security.
A Day in The Life
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of the multi-tenant cloud SaaS platform for Infor MES on AWS.
- Develop and enforce best practices for cloud migration from on-premises, including modernization of legacy components.
- Design and implement zero downtime deployment strategies, including blueâgreen deployments, canary releases, and feature toggles.
- Architect logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks for proactive incident response and operational visibility.
- Collaborate with crossâfunctional teams including product management, QA, DevOps, and security to align cloud strategies.
- Drive scalability and performance tuning through cloudânative services such as autoâscaling, load balancing, and container orchestration.
- Mentor engineering teams on cloud technologies, SaaS architecture, and DevOps practices.
- Evaluate and adopt new AWS services and technologies to continuously improve platform capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements in cloud environments.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven software engineering experience with deep expertise in .NET Core/Framework.
- Proven experience architecting and migrating enterprise software to AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Handsâon experience with AWS services: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, IAM, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement zero downtime deployment pipelines and CI/CD automation.
- Strong knowledge of microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and multiâtenant SaaS architecture.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as ELK Stack, Splunk, Datadog, or AWS CloudWatch.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven track record leading technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with serverless architectures and eventâdriven design on AWS.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards for cloud SaaS products.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps culture.
- Experience working with manufacturing or MES software domains.
- Prior experience working in a multiâtenant SaaS environment with subscriptionâbased licensing models.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer certifications.
