About the Role
The Communications Specialist role is responsible for enhancing Infor’s brand awareness across the EMEA region, with a primary focus on public relations. The position centers on securing high quality earned media coverage by cultivating strong relationships with regional reporters and key publications, and by translating complex technical topics into clear and engaging narratives. Working closely with senior leaders, marketing partners, and external PR agencies, the role plays a key part in shaping and amplifying Infor’s voice across the region.
A Day in the Life
- Execute regional PR initiatives across EMEA with a primary focus on earned media and brand awareness.
- Build and maintain relationships with reporters and publications across the EMEA region to secure media opportunities.
- Engage with senior leaders to identify, shape, and elevate technical and industry stories for press coverage.
- Develop creative PR approaches to make complex technology topics relevant and appealing to external audiences.
- Collaborate with regional marketing teams to support industry and regional campaigns.
- Manage and coordinate work with external PR agencies to ensure consistent messaging and delivery.
- Track, measure, and report on PR activities and performance metrics in partnership with agencies.
- Ensure all communications activities align with Infor and Koch policies and standards.
Required Skills / Basic Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in PR or communications (agency and/or in house).
- Demonstrated experience securing earned media through established press relationships.
- Ability to work directly with senior leaders and translate complex or technical topics into clear media stories.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English.
- Analytical mindset with experience tracking and reporting PR metrics.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full professional proficiency in German.
- Experience supporting PR programs across the EMEA region.
- Background in technology, enterprise software, or similarly complex industries (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience working with external PR agencies.
