Infor MES is a leading Manufacturing Execution System product sold by Infor. We are expanding our capabilities by delivering Infor MES as a SaaS offering hosted on AWS, targeting new customers with a scalable, secure, and multi‑tenant cloud solution. The Senior Development Operations Engineer will play a vital role in building, automating, and managing the tooling, infrastructure, and processes that enable this SaaS transition and ongoing operation. This role requires expertise in cloud‑native DevOps practices, automation, and cloud infrastructure engineering, ensuring that the SaaS environment is robust, efficient, and secure.

A Day in The Life

  • Architect, develop, and maintain the tooling, automation, and CI/CD pipelines that power the delivery and operation of Infor MES as a SaaS offering on AWS.
  • Collaborate closely with product development, cloud engineering, and operations teams to design multi‑tenant SaaS infrastructure and deployment workflows.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks for consistent, version‑controlled cloud environments using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
  • Automate configuration management, deployment, and release processes to support frequent, reliable, and secure SaaS releases.
  • Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure service health, performance, and security compliance.
  • Support containerization and orchestration strategies (e.g., Kubernetes, Amazon ECS) for efficient SaaS application scaling.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, and security best practices within the AWS environment.
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to continuously improve system reliability and customer experience.
  • Document operational processes, architecture, and best practices for SaaS tooling and infrastructure.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of automation and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles, with a strong focus on SaaS platforms.
  • Deep hands‑on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, and IAM.
  • Proven expertise with CI/CD systems like Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or CircleCI.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and integration tasks.
  • Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS).
  • Solid understanding of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, AWS CloudWatch).
  • Familiarity with multi‑tenant SaaS architectures and operational challenges.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, able to work effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience leading migration or transformation projects from on‑premises to cloud‑based SaaS.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices embedding security into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Understanding of database migration and management in cloud SaaS environments.
  • Prior experience building SaaS tooling for automated provisioning, monitoring, and scaling.
  • Experience or knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or industrial software is a plus.
