Infor is looking for a talented Senior Finance Solution Architect to join Infor’s Product Management team as we build momentum for our next generation of Cloud Financial Software. This is a key role for a domain expert who combines deep knowledge of accounting software with a practical understanding of modern software development, product design, and technology delivery. The successful candidate will bring both financial expertise and technical awareness, helping to bridge the gap between customer expectations, product strategy, architecture, and development execution.

The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of how modern accounting solutions are structured and how finance users operate across end-to-end processes, workflows, and modules. Working closely with Product Management, Architecture, Development, UX, Business Analysis teams, and senior stakeholders, the Senior Finance Solution Architect will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, helping to translate complex finance requirements into cohesive product and technology outcomes. Operating within a tribe-based Product and Development organization, they will provide strategic guidance across solution design, process definition, and platform capabilities, ensuring business requirements are effectively aligned with product direction and technical implementation.

Drawing on their expertise in finance operations, accounting principles, and industry’s best practices, they will help ensure the platform delivers seamless end-to-end user journeys and continues to evolve in line with customer requirements, market expectations, and emerging industry trends.

A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

  • Finance Application Design and User Workflows - Provide expert guidance on how finance users work across end-to-end processes and modules, ensuring the future platform delivers intuitive, efficient, and connected user experiences that reflect real-world finance operations.
  • Act as the finance domain expert within the Product Management organization, translating modern finance needs, market insight, and competitive intelligence into clear high-level guidance product direction.
  • Product strategy, requirements, and design guidance - Work closely with Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Architecture, Development, and UX teams to shape product strategy, validate requirements, and influence design decisions across the future finance platform.
  • Market, competitor, and regulatory intelligence - Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, regulatory developments, and emerging finance technologies to identify opportunities, risks, and capability gaps that should influence future product direction.
  • Expert guidance across key finance processes and ensure the future platform supports efficient, controlled, and scalable finance operations including:
    • Financial operations - Provide expert insight into how finance teams operate today, identifying opportunities to modernize workflows, improving decision-making, reducing manual effort, and increasing operational efficiency through Artificial Intelligence and automation.
    • Period close processes - Advise on the design of controlled, auditable month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, approvals, reporting, and period locking.
    • Controls, compliance, and auditability - Advise on governance, approval models, internal controls, segregation of duties, regulatory compliance, audit readiness, traceability, and transparent financial process execution.
    • Financial reporting and analytics - Shape requirements for accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting, dashboards, and analytics that support business decision-making.
    • Multi-entity and global finance requirements - Ensure the platform supports complex organizational structures, multiple legal entities, currencies, tax requirements, regions, and global finance operating models.
    • Usability and user experience - Evaluate, test, and help shape the future finance solution to ensure it is intuitive, efficient, and aligned with the day-to-day needs of finance professionals.
    • Advocacy for finance professionals - Represent the needs of finance leaders, controllers, accountants, auditors, and CFOs throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring the solution remains relevant, competitive, intuitive, and aligned with modern finance operating models.
    • Challenge and validate product direction - Provide an independent finance industry perspective that complements customer, partner, and internal stakeholder feedback, challenging assumptions and proposed approaches using real-world finance experience and knowledge of market-leading solutions.
    • Thought leadership and long-term product vision - Contribute thought leadership, recommendations, and strategic insight to help inform long-term product vision, roadmap priorities, and investment decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in senior finance, finance systems, finance transformation, or financial software advisory roles.
  • Strong understanding of ERP, financial management solutions, and the core processes that support modern finance organizations.
  • Practical knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, governance, controls, compliance, audit requirements, and finance operating models.
  • Ability to translate finance needs, process challenges, and market insight into clear product requirements, recommendations, and design guidance.
  • Able to communicate effectively with finance stakeholders, product teams, technical teams, and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Confident analyzing and documenting complex finance processes, requirements, and business scenarios.
  • Highly collaborative, proactive, analytical, and comfortable working across multiple initiatives in a fast‑moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant finance qualification, finance degree, accounting qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
