Infopro Digital, the B2B group specialising in information and technology, is currently looking for a Senior Conference Producer on a permanent contract to strengthen the team at its Infopro Digital Risk Global division, supporting the Risk.net events portfolio. Infopro Digital Risk Global powers the financial risk, derivatives, regulation, and fintech communities with high-value intelligence, data, events, and digital products. As Senior Conference Producer, you will be a key player in the Risk.net Events team. You will be contributing to a variety of projects, while developing your skills and reaching new levels of expertise.
Key AccountabilitiesAs Senior Conference Producer, your role will involve extensive telephone and face-to-face research with industry contacts to develop conference topics and write cuttingāedge conference programmes within the Risk.net portfolio of events; recruitment of and liaison with seniorālevel speakers; writing contentāled marketing copy; and effective project management of events from their inception to completion.
- Keeping to best practice production timelines
- Project managing event production, operations, marketing, and sales deadlines
- Researching and developing new launch ideas
- Developing marketāleading, innovative event programmes through market research
- Oversight of event budgets and budget management
- Market research ā mainly telephone and faceātoāface research, but also deskābased research and attending external events
- Researching and meeting with potential sponsors
- Developing commercial formats that deliver value to sponsors
- Researching, confirming, and managing speakers
- Brief writing ā creating marketing, sales, and telesales briefs which explain your events to the wider team
- Working with the editorial team to deliver various bespoke content opportunities
- Writing marketāleading content marketing copy
- Proof reading
- Driving website content ā working with marketing to keep websites up to date and engaging, including updating event content and speaker biographies and photos online
- Managing events onsite and speaker liaison
Strong research and analytical skills, both phoneābased and faceātoāface. Excellent written communication skills, including contentāled marketing copy. Proven ability to projectāmanage complex, multiāstakeholder events. Confidence when engaging with senior industry experts and speakers. Ability to generate innovative ideas for new event products and formats. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Comfortable working onsite at events and leading speaker liaison. A bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, History, Politics, Economics, Communications or the sciences is preferred. Proactive, curious, highāenergy, resultsāoriented ā a reputation for getting things done! Industry knowledge in one or more of the following areas is desirable, but not essential: financial markets (derivatives & capital markets, risk management), insurance, and financial technology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven research and analytical skills. Previous, relevant work experience in a conference or events research environment. Very strong attention to detail and effective time management. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to build business relationships at all levels. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team within a highāpressure environment with tight deadlines.
