Infopro Digital group are recruiting for a journalist on a permanent basis to join its expanding Data & Benchmarking team, working primarily on Risk.net, but across other brands on occasion. The successful applicant will use their journalism skills to draw out compelling, under-reported or unreported stories from our datasets. They will also use their coding and Excel skills to help grow and maintain those datasets.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a talented and passionate Data Journalist to join our expanding data team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and producing compelling data-driven content across our publications, delivering insights and analysis to our readers.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and analyze data to uncover interesting stories and trends in the risk, financial technology, and insurance markets
  • Produce high-quality articles and reports that integrate data analysis with engaging storytelling
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including editorial, research, and data science, to develop data-driven content strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the industry and translate them into compelling stories
  • Continuously improve data journalism skills and techniques to enhance the quality and impact of our content
Requirements:
  • Strong background in journalism, with demonstrated experience in data-driven storytelling
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to uncover insights from complex datasets
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python or R
  • Experience working with financial data and knowledge of the risk, financial technology, or insurance industries
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality content
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Curiosity and passion for uncovering stories from data
