Roles and responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions and AI-driven applications to optimise network control processes.
- Utilise AWS Bedrock, AWS Quicksuite, and AWS SageMaker to build, deploy, and maintain scalable machine learning and automation pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, data science, and Product, to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance existing automation and AI systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Stay abreast of new AWS features and emerging technologies in automation and AI, applying best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Supervisory / Managerial responsibilities:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in software engineering with a focus on automation and AI applications.
Hands-on expertise with AWS Bedrock, AWS Quicksuite, and AWS SageMaker.
Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages commonly used for AI and automation.
Experience in designing and operationalising machine learning models in a production environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with airline operations or network control systems.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.
Experience with cloud security and data governance.
