As an OT Network Engineer within our operational technology team, you will use your technical experience and skills to deliver best‑in‑class service for stakeholders and customers, ensuring the security and reliability of the network infrastructure is upheld without compromise.
Working alongside senior and principal engineers, you will play an integral role supporting OT infrastructure across operations and project delivery, supporting senior members with routine network and cyber activity while showing a desire to develop your skill set through a technical career path.
You should have a technical interest in networks and cyber security, maintaining existing infrastructure and assisting in testing and the implementation of new software and hardware through network refresh projects. Experienced working across the project life cycle and within associated industry standards/governance regimes for delivery of mission‑critical projects.
A team player who takes direction from senior team members and is willing to develop through a technical career path. Ability to engage work alongside senior peers and stakeholders. Can clearly communicate technical aspects of the project with relevance to the overall delivery.
Technical Skills- Network Security, Layer 2/3 Routing and Switching and associated networking protocols in an OT technical environment.
- Experience in and delivering results across Technical Operations, Incident, Problem and Change Management, Project Management, Continuous Improvement.
- Technical Certifications across one or more vendors such as CCNA.
- Experienced in working in high‑performing, technical engineering teams across project, change, incident, delivery and BAU operations.
- Demonstrates practical problem solving and good communication skills, both technical and non‑technical, with experience influencing multiple stakeholders.
- Able to effectively communicate with stakeholders from peer groups to senior leadership.
- Dependable and trusted to work with sensitive and confidential information, with experience working with a range of business stakeholders.
- Detail‑oriented, methodical and analytical, producing high‑quality output and thinking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self‑driven and able to prioritise work where necessary.
- Essential (at appointment): Degree‑level qualification or comparable industry experience. Technical Network Associate accreditations and experience across BAU operations and technical project delivery.
