The Role
As part of a SAP Brownfield Implementation and Enhancement Programme, this role supports the organization's business transformation journey to transition into a secure, modern, cloud-aligned SAP S/4HANA platform. The objective is to enable continuous transformation, operational agility, and AI-driven growth.
The role is aligned with a decoupling strategy focused on establishing a clean core architecture, ensuring that the SAP S/4HANA system leverages standard SAP capabilities across key business domains, while minimizing customizations and technical debt.
Overall, the role is pivotal in maintaining environment integrity, minimizing risks, and accelerating delivery timelines while aligning with enterprise governance, compliance standards, and the broader goal of building a future-ready, AI-enabled SAP platform.
Your responsibilities:
An SAP MM (Materials Management) Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing the SAP procurement, inventory, and logistics solution landscape. The role combines deep SAP MM functional expertise with solution architecture, business process transformation, integration, and stakeholder management.
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA Materials Management solutions. Define procurement and inventory management architecture, ensure seamless integration with supply chain and finance processes, drive business transformation initiatives, and provide architectural governance across SAP programs while aligning technology solutions with enterprise business objectives.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
Design end-to-end procurement and inventory management solutions using SAP MM.
Define enterprise-wide material management architecture and standards.
Analyze and redesign procurement and supply chain processes.
Map business requirements to SAP capabilities.
Lead ECC to S/4HANA migration initiatives.
Conduct fit-gap analysis.
Define target-state architecture.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
Experience with warehouse processes (WM/basic EWM exposure)
Knowledge of batch management, serial numbers, and inventory optimization
Exposure to LSMW/data upload tools for master and transactional data
Basic understanding of interfaces (IDoc, ALE) and integration concepts
Experience in reporting and analytics (basic SAP reports, queries)
Exposure to automations or user exits/enhancements (coordination with ABAP team)
Experience in retail or high-volume transaction environments
Understanding of GST/taxation processes (India or relevant geography)
Exposure to ECC to S/4HANA transition or brownfield conversion projects
SAP certification in MM module (optional but preferred)

The Role
As part of a greenfield implementation/rollout/enhancement and steady state on SAP with RISE, new applications are being provisioned and configured to support new SAP standard retail functionality. The technical setup and configuration of these newly provisioned systems need to be completed in order to enable the functional build to be deployed to support SIT, UAT, Performance testing prior/post to go-live.
Your responsibilities: (Up to 10, Avoid repetition)
An SAP MM (Materials Management) Architect designs, builds, and leads complex procurement and inventory systems. Key duties include managing Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, connecting SAP S/4HANA with other tools, and guiding technical teams.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
Solution Design: Build scalable SAP MM and P2P structures on S/4HANA.
System Integration: Link MM with SD, PP, FI/CO, and external apps like Ariba.
Process Leadership: Lead fit-gap analysis, blueprint creation, and testing phases.
Technical Guidance: Direct ABAP changes, Fiori apps, and data migration steps.
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
Experience: 7 to 10+ years working with SAP, with 5+ years specialized in MM.
Platform Knowledge: Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA inventory, MRP, and valuation.
Communication: Ability to turn business needs into clear technical steps.
