The Data Scientist supports the Senior Data Scientist in developing and implementing data‑driven solutions to solve business challenges and inform decision‑making. This role involves conducting data analysis, building and refining predictive models and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver actionable insights. By leveraging statistical techniques and machine learning tools, the Data Scientist contributes to improving operational efficiency and performance. Responsibilities
- Senior Data Scientist Mentor in model development and data analysis, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
- Business Stakeholders: Translate business needs into data science solutions and communicate insights to drive decision‑making and strategy.
- Data Engineers: Collaborate with data engineers to integrate data pipelines and ensure quality data access for analysis and model deployment.
- Software Developers/IT Teams: Operationalise models and ensure alignment with the business's technical architecture and infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline).
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, statistical modelling or data science.
- Proven experience working with machine learning algorithms and data science methodologies.
- Familiarity with big data technologies, cloud platforms and distributed computing tools.
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering and cleaning large datasets.
- Hands‑on experience with analytical tools and programming languages such as Python, R or SQL.
- Experience working with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is desirable.
Technical skills: Proficiency in programming languages, machine learning frameworks and cloud platforms, with strong knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Analytical and Problem‑solving skills: Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with experience in extracting insights from complex datasets, developing predictive models and optimising solutions to meet business needs.
Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders, combined with strong collaboration abilities to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
