We are working on an urgent contract opportunity for an Infrastructure Architect β Data & Analytics (GCP Migration) based in London (2β3 days onsite per week).
Contract: 6+ months
Rate: Β£400/day inside IR35
Role overview:
You will assess and design the migration of a large on-premise ETL and data warehouse environment to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The focus is defining a low-risk lift-and-shift / transitional architecture and migration roadmap.
Key skills required:
- Strong GCP architecture & migration experience
- Legacy ETL platforms (IBM DataStage, Ab Initio, Teradata)
- Infrastructure design (compute, storage, networking, IAM)
- Migration strategy, cutover & rollback planning
- Stakeholder engagement & architecture documentation
Nice to have:
- BigQuery / Dataflow / Dataproc
- Terraform / CI-CD
- Docker / Kubernetes
