As a BMC Helix Solution Architect, you will play a key role in designing and delivering scalable, automated and resilient service management solutions that support critical retail operations, supply chain systems, store technologies and corporate services. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge BMC Helix technologies, automation platforms, AI-driven service management capabilities and cloud-based integrations to improve operational efficiency and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure, application and business teams to drive innovation, optimize service delivery and support strategic digital transformation initiatives within a fast-paced retail environment.
Your responsibilities:
- Design and architect BMC Helix solutions aligned with business, operational and service management requirements within a large-scale retail environment.
- Lead implementation and integration of BMC Helix ITSM, Discovery, CMDB, Digital Workplace and automation solutions.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, cloud and business teams to deliver scalable and resilient service management platforms.
- Drive automation and workflow optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency, service delivery and user experience.
- Define solution architecture, technical standards, governance, and best practices for BMC Helix platforms and integrations.
- Support incident, problem, change, asset and configuration management process improvements aligned with ITIL practices.
- Provide technical leadership for platform upgrades, migrations, integrations and transformation projects.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure high availability and stability of BMC environments.
- Develop architecture documentation, low-level designs and operational procedures for enterprise service management solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders, vendors and project teams to support strategic digital transformation and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Strong experience working with CIS Controls v8.1 and implementing security best practices.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing BMC Helix solutions including ITSM, CMDB, Discovery, Digital Workplace and automation platforms.
- Hands-on expertise in BMC Remedy/Helix architecture, integrations, workflows, forms, escalations and service management processes.
- Strong understanding of ITIL framework and enterprise IT service management best practices.
- Experience integrating BMC Helix with cloud, infrastructure, monitoring and third-party enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of automation, orchestration and AI-driven service management capabilities within BMC Helix environments.
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise or retail environments supporting transformation and operational improvement programs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex platform and integration issues.
- Experience in platform upgrades, migrations, performance tuning and environment optimization activities.
- Ability to produce architecture documentation, solution designs, technical standards and operational procedures.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Good understanding of mapping EUC security capabilities to CIS Controls v8.1.
- BMC certifications in Helix ITSM, Remedy, Discovery, or Digital Workplace solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation technologies including Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, or orchestration tools.
- Experience integrating BMC Helix with monitoring, security, DevOps and enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps and CI/CD delivery methodologies.
- Understanding of retail industry operations, supply chain systems and large-scale enterprise service environments.
- Experience working within regulated or highly available enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of reporting, analytics, dashboarding and AI-driven operational insights within BMC Helix platforms.
