- Participate in on-call activities and follow escalation processes to support the infrastructure 24/7.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Layer 1, 2, and 3 networking.
- Previous deployment experience.
- Experience in new PoP or data center builds.
- Understanding of outside plant construction requirements, with fiber, copper, or coax experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of fiber optic technology, including cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, and optical transport technologies.
- Experience in rack and stack, and installation of new racks and devices.
- Experience in device installation and testing, software/firmware upgrades, re-bootstrapping, and decommissioning.
- Experience in network optimization, including re-stripes, migrations, upgrades, swaps, and capacity upgrades.
- Knowledge of DCN and experience in DCN installation, migrations, and upgrades.
- Experience in break-fix support.
- Familiarity with Juniper, Ciena, Infinera, Cisco, Arista, and ZPE systems (Network Deployment).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proven experience in maintaining documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and utilize troubleshooting skills, systems, and tools, with creative problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Programming and scripting capabilities are highly desired.
- Excellent communication skills.
