About the Role
The Insight Manager for Life Sciences supports the custom information needs of global pharmaceutical and biotech clients. This position requires experience in the pharmaceutical industry or regulatory strategy, with strong knowledge of GXPs and regulatory guidance. Strong verbal and written communication, project management, and editorial process experience are essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Customer communication, collaboration with internal teams, managing remote editors, and ensuring quality deliverables.
Scope of Work
- Supervise the production workflow and manage scheduling for editorial deliverables and analyses tailored to our global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clientele.
- Offer editorial guidance on the specific informational needs as well as search strategy of pharmaceutical and biotech customers to ensure alignment with their objectives and strategic direction.
- Define project scopes and objectives, engaging all pertinent stakeholders throughout the process.
- Organize, plan, and implement standardized procedures and timelines for production operations.
- Deliver pre-sales consultations regarding scope and pricing promptly and accurately.
- Provide ad hoc support as necessary in the analysis and execution of client projects.
Skills you'll need to be successful:
- 6-8 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical / biotech industries, in library science or knowledge management, medical library or special library.
- BA/BS in scientific/engineering/healthcare discipline a must, (Masters, PharmD or Ph.D preferred but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with reliable sources covering the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
- High understanding of Boolean queries and syntax.
- Analytical and creative problem-solving.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
- Experience scaling production projects to accommodate continuously increasing capacity.
- Editorial and production experience would be a plus.
