About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and caring team leader to join our friendly team. This is a fast-paced role which requires good organisational skills and the ability to think outside of the box. This is important as residents face challenges and barriers in day-to-day life, and with good ideas and planning so much more is possible for them. You need to be highly motivated to lead one of our teams of support workers to be able to continue to provide outstanding care. You will lead a team of up to 18 staff and work alongside the other two team leaders and the management team to continue making improvements to the service. Your role will include coordinating day to day activities and larger events such as holidays, music festivals and parties.

As a team leader here, you’ll be joining a passionate and caring team who will support you throughout your time here.

At St David’s House we find that the rigid daily structures and strict routine of other care homes don’t really work here, so our staff get to spend quality time with the young people they support.

About you

We are looking for a confident, compassionate and motivated leader who is committed to delivering the highest standards of care and support for young people. You will thrive in a collaborative environment and work closely with the Manager to ensure excellent outcomes for residents at InFocus.

You have the ability to lead, develop and support an enabling team, providing clear direction, guidance and encouragement. You take pride in being responsible for the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and play an active role in shift planning and the effective delivery of handovers.

You are dedicated to ensuring that care is safe, appropriate and tailored to each individual, working in partnership with residents, their families and colleagues. You are confident in deputising for the Manager when required, taking ownership of initiatives that enhance care provision across the campus.

You are passionate about continuous learning and professional development, supporting improved standards across a multi-disciplinary team. Above all, you place young people at the heart of everything you do, listening to their wishes, promoting choice and independence, and empowering them to make their own decisions while working in partnership with their families and InFocus
