We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Track Engineer to work with a Main Contractor on a civils project in Coventry. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in rail, track, and civil engineering works, who can support the successful planning and delivery of track-related projects while ensuring quality, safety, and programme requirements are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the planning and delivery of rail and track engineering works
- Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, standards, and programme requirements
- Reviewing technical drawings, track designs, and project documentation
- Assisting with setting out, inspections, and quality control of track-related works
- Liaising with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to support successful project delivery
- Monitoring site progress and helping to resolve engineering and technical issues
- Maintaining accurate site records, reports, and as-built information
- Supporting compliance with rail standards, health and safety procedures, and quality requirements
- Assisting with the preparation of work packs, technical documentation, and project reports
- Ensuring all works are delivered in line with company procedures and client expectations
- Contributing to safe systems of work and promoting best practice across rail and infrastructure projects
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Track Engineer or within a similar rail engineering role
- Strong understanding of track works, rail engineering, and associated civil engineering activities
- Experience working on rail infrastructure projects
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
- Good understanding of health, safety, quality, and compliance requirements within the rail environment
- PTS and CSCS Card required
- Full UK driving licence preferred
