InFocus supports young people with vision impairment and complex needs. We want the people who use our services to live their best lives, and to be as independent as possible in their communities.

The charity operates six charity shops in Exeter (City Centre, Heavitree, St Thomas) and East Devon (Honiton, Sidmouth, Ottery St Mary, Exmouth), as well as a successful eBay online shop. Charity retail plays an important part in supporting our work, and we couldn’t run our shops without dedicated teams of volunteers.

You don’t need experience in retail. We’ll give you all the training you need, including giving you an understanding of InFocus and the charity’s work.

Volunteering within our shops is not only extremely rewarding. It is also fun! Apart from contributing to the development of our blind and visually impaired young people, it is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, and experience new things.

We currently have vacancies for volunteers in our Exeter (City Centre Sidwell Street OR Heavitree), Exmouth, Sidmouth and Honiton shops.

Please contact the manager of the shop where you would like to volunteer:
