About the role
We are searching for a Support Worker to help empower the fabulous young adults who attend our adult day service at InFocus. We currently have 15 young adults who use our day service on a weekly basis. Many of the people we support have complex and, in some cases, life-limiting medical conditions, and require support with all aspects of their personal care and daily living.
It will be your job to provide person-centred, high-quality care to our young adults, supporting them to make their own choices, achieve their personal goals and, most importantly, enjoy a happy, fulfilling and meaningful life. You will support them to spend time with their peers, build friendships, take part in activities they enjoy and experience new things, while ensuring they feel valued, listened to and supported every step of the way.
This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference every day — helping the young adults we support to enjoy their lives, maintain their wellbeing, have fun and make the most of every opportunity. All within an excellent community care setting.
About you
Our young adults like a good sing song and hands on activities like arts and crafts, so you’ll need to be a bit arty and also, have a love for trying out new sweet recipes. If you’re a good storyteller and like gardening that will go down well too! It’s important that you are passionate and committed to providing care and support to others and that you have a positive can-do attitude with the desire to learn.
Working pattern: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 16:30
