Are you a commercially driven sales professional with an engineering background and a passion for building strong client relationships in fast-paced environments? Influx Search are partnered with a leading environmental and infrastructure services provider, delivering critical engineering solutions across sectors including utilities, fuel, water, and industrial manufacturing. With a strong national presence and a reputation for rapid response and technical expertise, the business supports clients through both planned and emergency service requirements. As part of continued regional growth, the organisation is looking to appoint Regional Account Managers in the Midlands and Southwest.
The Role
This is a dynamic, field-based commercial role focused on managing and growing an existing client base while identifying and converting new opportunities within your region. You will take ownership of client relationships, responding to incoming enquiries and emergency requirements, while proactively developing opportunities with a short sales cycle. Working closely with internal teams, you will maintain a strong pipeline, drive revenue growth, and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders across operations, projects, and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a regional portfolio of clients, maintaining regular contact and engagement
- Respond to incoming enquiries and emergency response requests, converting opportunities quickly
- Identify and win new business from both existing and prospective customers
- Build relationships with operational teams, project managers, and procurement stakeholders
- Maintain and manage a robust CRM pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting
- Plan and execute weekly sales activity, including client visits and pipeline reviews
- Deliver against annual revenue targets
- Collaborate closely with internal sales and operational teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
Candidate Profile
- Engineering or technical background, ideally within utilities, fuel, water, or manufacturing sectors
- Proven experience managing multiple client accounts and developing new business
- Strong “hunter” mindset with the ability to identify, pursue, and close opportunities
- Experience operating in short sales cycles with quick turnaround requirements
- Proficient in CRM systems, pipeline management and sales reporting
- Highly organised with strong planning and activity management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across your region
