This is a hands‑on role that combines architecture, technical leadership, and active software development. You will shape the architecture, standards, and shared services that improve automation, consistency, and engineering efficiency, while also contributing code and delivering practical platform solutions that keep the platform reliable, secure, observable, and fit for future growth. You will work across engineering teams and alongside other established architects to collaborate on decisions spanning infrastructure, delivery pipelines, observability, resilience, and operational excellence across all environments. Alongside setting direction, you will be expected to remain close to implementation through hands‑on design, coding, and technical problem‑solving, leading by example in how platform capabilities are built and evolved. This role balances immediate delivery needs with long‑term architectural thinking, combining team leadership, coaching, and technical guidance with direct contribution to the development of shared tooling, services, and engineering foundations.
You’ll contribute to modern cloud‑native software using the following Tech Stack: ASP.NET, .NET, Entity Framework Core, SQL & SSMS, Razor Pages, Bicep, Infrastructure-as-Code.
We value curiosity, ownership, agile collaboration, and a willingness to learn.

- Work closely with other architects to align decisions, share good practice, and maintain consistent platform direction across teams.
- Design, build, and improve scalable, secure, and resilient platform solutions across all engineering environments.
- Remain hands‑on in software development by contributing code, shaping implementation approaches, and solving complex technical problems.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and guidance to engineers, promoting high standards in design and delivery.
- Establish and embed technical standards, reusable patterns, and engineering practices that improve consistency and maintainability.
- Improve delivery performance through automation, tooling, and continuous improvement of engineering workflows.
- Maintain and enhance Azure platform capabilities to support reliability, deployability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience, reduce delivery friction, and strengthen service resilience over time.
- Demonstrated experience shaping architectural direction for platform services, infrastructure, or shared engineering capabilities in a multi‑team environment.
- Evidence of hands‑on delivery in modern software engineering roles, including writing production code and contributing to shared platforms, services, or tooling.
- Proven experience designing and operating scalable, reliable, and observable systems in Azure or a comparable cloud environment.
- Track record of improving developer experience, delivery efficiency, or platform reliability through practical engineering changes.
- Experience establishing technical standards, coding conventions, or reusable patterns that have been successfully adopted across teams.
- Evidence of leading engineers through technical coaching, mentoring, or architectural guidance while remaining actively involved in delivery.
- Strong practical experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and alerting tooling.
- Experience using observability data, operational metrics, and technical insight to guide decisions and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other senior architects and engineering leaders to align technical direction.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or architecture roles, with increasing scope of technical leadership.
- BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

You will have improved developer experience, strengthened observability, and raised engineering standards through practical platform changes that make delivery faster, safer, and more consistent. Success will also be reflected in better platform reliability and operational efficiency, stronger cross‑team relationships, and visible leadership that increases engineering capability across the organisation.
