Iron by MoonPay is for builders with something to prove. This isn't a "work on cool crypto stuff" company. It's a high-standards, high-velocity, high-accountability company building the operating system for value movement. If the internet moves information, we move value: crypto, stablecoins, tokenized assets, and whatever comes next. Four offerings make that real: fund, tokenize, trade, and spend.

Iron, a MoonPay company, is the fund layer built for businesses. We power how stablecoins move through real financial operations: enterprises, fintechs, PSPs, wallets, and marketplaces running their treasuries, their cross-border flows, and their stablecoin operations on us. The goal is to make moving real money at scale as predictable as any other piece of financial infrastructure, with the compliance and controls CFOs need to say yes.

AI is the default operating mode here. It's woven into every role, and we expect you to use it daily. It handles the manual work so you can deliver on what actually matters.

You'll thrive here if outcomes excite you more than process, if impact motivates you more than titles, and if you want hard problems, real ownership, and teammates who love winning, building, and doing it together. The bar is high. The pace is real. We're building the rails that businesses run real money on, for humans and agents.

About the Role

As Head of Strategic Accounts at Iron, you will own and lead the post-sale commercial relationship with our most important enterprise customers. This is a leadership role: you will set the strategy for how Iron retains, deepens, and grows its strategic book, build and lead the team that delivers it, and act as the senior executive partner to the founders, C‑suite, and product leaders building on Iron’s financial infrastructure.

You will be accountable for net revenue retention and expansion across the strategic portfolio, and for translating direct customer engagement into influence over Iron’s product, commercial, and platform direction. You will operate as the senior voice of the customer inside the business and a senior representative of Iron to the market.

Reporting into commercial leadership, you will sit at the intersection of customer strategy and company strategy - shaping not just how individual accounts grow, but how Iron builds the account management function as it scales.

What You’ll Own

  • Function: Define and run Iron’s strategic account management model - operating cadence, playbooks, segmentation, and success metrics - from the ground up.
  • Revenue: Carry the number for net revenue retention and expansion across the strategic book, with clear accountability for the commercial trajectory of the portfolio.
  • Executive relationships: Own the most senior relationships across our strategic customers, from founders and C‑suite to product and operations leadership.
  • Influence: Be the senior conduit between strategic customers and Iron’s Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams, shaping roadmap and commercial strategy with first‑hand market signal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set strategy: Define and execute the strategic account management strategy across Iron’s most important enterprise customers, aligned to company revenue and product goals.
  • Own executive relationships: Serve as the senior partner to founders, executives, product leaders, and operations teams, building trusted, board‑visible relationships.
  • Drive retention and expansion: Take ownership of net revenue retention, expansion, wallet share, and transaction volume across the portfolio through proactive, commercially‑led account management.
  • Lead commercial discussions: Lead and oversee complex commercial negotiations, contract renewals, pricing conversations, and expansion deals across strategic accounts.
  • Run executive business reviews: Lead senior business reviews with customers, providing strategic guidance and surfacing opportunities for deeper collaboration and co‑development.
  • Be the voice of the customer: Synthesise customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive insight into actionable direction for Product, Engineering, and Leadership; influence the roadmap with evidence from the field.
  • Shape product direction: Partner with Product and Engineering to validate new features, test concepts, and lead customer‑driven and co‑development initiatives with strategic partners.
  • Own account health: Establish how Iron monitors account health, engagement, and adoption trends; design retention and engagement programmes that pre‑empt churn risk and unlock growth.
  • Own competitive intelligence: Develop a deep view of the competitive landscape - where rivals win, lose, and position against Iron - and feed it back into product strategy, positioning, and commercial execution.
  • Partner cross‑functionally: Work across Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and Leadership to ensure exceptional customer outcomes and a joined‑up commercial approach.
  • Represent Iron: Act as a senior representative of Iron with strategic customers, partners, and the wider market.

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience in Strategic Account Management, Strategic Partnerships, Customer Success, or Commercial leadership, including a track record of leading and building teams.
  • Proven success owning and growing a strategic book of business at scale - driving retention, expansion, and net revenue growth across enterprise accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with executive decision-makers and operational stakeholders alike, including at founder and C‑suite level.
  • Strong commercial leadership instincts and a track record of identifying and closing growth opportunities within strategic accounts.
  • Experience translating customer requirements and market intelligence into product and commercial strategy that leadership acts on.
  • Deep understanding of payments, fintech infrastructure, stablecoins, treasury, banking, or adjacent financial technology ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication, executive stakeholder management, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Comfort leading the most strategic customer conversations, executive business reviews, and complex commercial negotiations.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to set direction and operate independently in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment.
  • Naturally curious about customer behaviour, market dynamics, and competitive trends - and energised by shaping both customer strategy and product direction at a high‑growth infrastructure company.

Why This Role Matters

Iron’s strategic customers are where the company’s growth, product direction, and market reputation are won. This role owns that surface end to end - the relationships, the revenue, the team, and the feedback loop into the platform. It is a rare opportunity to build a function, not just run a book, at a company defining the next generation of money‑movement infrastructure.
