QUALIFIED OR TRAINEE DENTAL NURSE in Auchterarder

Full training apprenticeship will be provided for any successful trainee candidate. Apprenticeship wage £12.71. Increase applied on qualifying, post qualifications and role. The hours will be 22.25 hours worked over 3 days. Salary will be prorated to agreed working hours.

The Job Role:

• Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available.
• Keep the clinical areas, equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions.
• Use our mouth scanner to ensure our patients are given the best experience and record these in patient notes.
• Prepare the necessary materials and instruments.
• Meet and greet patients with a friendly and professional manner.
• Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed on SOE Exact.
• Continually interpret the needs of the patients and dentist and deal with them promptly and efficiently.
• Work within our Front of House team to provide excellent customer service.
• Take all reasonable methods to ensure patient comfort.
• Follow all practice policies and procedures.
• Observe patient confidentiality at all times.
• Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery.
• Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records.
• Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice – Reception cover when required.
• Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities.
• Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR decontamination and radiology.
• Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct.
• Work at other practice locations from time to time as required.
• Maintain GDC registration.
• To maintain and increase competence in nursing skills by actively following a programme of continuing professional development.
