Role Overview:
The Head of Demand Generation will lead our demand generation strategy, overseeing all initiatives to drive pipeline growth and maximise new customer acquisition by creating and capturing demand in target markets. This hands-on leadership role requires a data-driven marketing professional with proven experience in B2B SaaS demand generation. The ideal candidate will excel at planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns, optimising conversion through the funnel, and aligning closely with sales to accelerate business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Demand Generation Strategy : Create and execute a demand generation strategy to drive and capture quality leads, pipeline growth, and revenue – ensuring commercial targets are realised every month.
- Campaign Planning and Management : Build an annual plan and oversee multi-channel campaigns including paid media (PPC), content, email, events, and social media (paid and organic) to engage target audiences across the buyer journey.
- Budget and Performance Optimisation : Manage and optimise the demand generation budget, ensuring maximum ROI on all initiatives.
- Data Analysis and Reporting : Track, analyse, and report on key metrics to understand performance and inform decisions. Adjust strategies and tactics based on first-party data insights and market trends to achieve revenue targets.
- Sales Alignment : Partner closely with the sales team to ensure alignment on target audience, lead quality, and nurturing strategies, optimising the handoff process to improve lead-to-customer conversion rates.
- Content Strategy and Collaboration : Work with content and creative team to optimise campaign assets (eBooks, whitepapers, case studies, webinars) that engage prospects, drive demand, and pull quality leads into the funnel.
- MarTech Management : Work closely with Marketing Operations to ensure efficient use of tools such as CRM and marketing automation platforms to support demand generation goals.
- Continuous Optimisation : Implement and manage A/B testing across channels and establish robust feedback loops within the team to continually improve campaign performance and conversion rates.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience : 7+ years in B2B demand generation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally within a SaaS or technology environment.
- Proven Success : Demonstrated experience in achieving lead generation goals and driving significant revenue growth through multi-channel demand generation strategies.
- Technical Proficiency : Strong working knowledge of MarTech tools, including CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation (preferably HubSpot), analytics platforms (including GA4), and key channels including Email, PPC, SEO, and Social Media (organic and paid).
- Analytical Mindset : Highly data-driven, with a strong ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Collaboration Skills : Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and build alignment with sales.
- Customer Focus : Deep understanding of the B2B SaaS customer journey and how to engage key stakeholders in a broad decision-making unit, with a track record of crafting campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
- Leadership Abilities : Experienced in managing, coaching, and developing marketing teams to improve lead generation capabilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
