About the Project
We are looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join a team working on a web-based fintech operations platform with customer onboarding, document workflows, transaction‑related screens, admin tools, and API integrations. The goal is to strengthen automated regression coverage and make releases faster and safer.
The automation stack includes Playwright with TypeScript, API tests, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines, test data management, and collaboration with manual QA and developers. The role requires strong spoken English for direct communication with international engineering and product stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Design and maintain automated E2E tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Build API‑level automated tests for key backend flows, authentication, validation, and integrations.
- Create stable test data strategies and reduce flaky tests through better selectors, waits, and isolation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and provide clear reporting for failed runs.
- Work with developers and manual QA to prioritise automation for high‑risk regression areas.
- Support smoke, regression, and release testing with reliable automated coverage.
- Investigate failed tests, identify product defects vs test issues, and improve maintainability.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of commercial QA experience, including strong test automation experience.
- Practical experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools; Playwright with TypeScript is preferred.
- Experience with API testing, Postman/Newman, REST clients, or automated API test frameworks.
- Good understanding of test design, regression strategy, CI/CD integration, and test reporting.
- Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and basic debugging of automated tests.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable automation code and reduce flaky tests.
- Strong spoken English – B2+ or higher for discussing test strategy, risks, and defects with international teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with contract testing, Testcontainers, Docker, or test environments in CI.
- Experience with Allure, ReportPortal, or similar reporting tools.
- Experience testing fintech, payments, onboarding, document workflows, or regulated platforms.
- Basic SQL knowledge and experience validating backend data.
