My client are a family-run HVAC business looking for a skilled Senior Air Conditioning Engineer to join their growing team in order to build a team in Surrey. You'll primarily focus on residential and light commercial installations, with the opportunity — based on your experience and interest — to work on larger commercial HVAC projects.
What you'll be doing:
- Installing, servicing, and repairing air conditioning systems to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Leading Split installations, with scope to contribute to larger commercial HVAC projects.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults using schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.
- Carrying out routine maintenance to keep systems running efficiently and reliably.
- Keeping accurate records of work carried out, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
- Ensuring all work meets health & safety regulations and industry standards.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience installing and maintaining air conditioning systems, especially Single-Split, Multi-Split and Sky Air systems; experience in VRV will be considered as an advantage.
- Solid mechanical knowledge of HVAC equipment, and understanding the technical aspects from installations to maintenance.
- Comfortable reading schematics, technical drawings, and diagnostic tools.
- Working knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to HVAC work.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and strong customer service skills.
- Experience in construction or industrial repair environments is a plus, but not essential.
Required licences/certifications:
- Full UK driving licence.
- F-Gas certification.
