My client are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Air Conditioning Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems across various sites throughout Bath, Bristol and Somerset. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a passion for mechanical systems and a keen eye for detail to contribute to our organisation’s operational efficiency. They have a large demand from our extensive existing customer base and require an individual to lead our existing in house air conditioning engineers.
Duties
- Install, service, and repair a wide range of air conditioning units and systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency of HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoot system faults using schematics and technical manuals, identifying issues swiftly and accurately.
- Lead maintenance teams during complex repair or installation projects, ensuring safety standards are adhered to at all times.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to facilitate accurate installation and repairs.
- Oversee the construction or refurbishment of HVAC systems, coordinating with other trades as necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of work carried out, including parts used and time spent on each task.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all operations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to air conditioning systems and associated equipment.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise team members effectively.
