Job Summary
My client are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing air conditioning systems. Dependant on experience with refrigeration units, the ideal candidate will also be carrying out installation and breakdowns of chillers/coldrooms.
Duties
- Maintain and repair air conditioning systems according to design and manufacturer specifications
- Installation of air conditioning systems to manufacturers standards
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with air conditioning systems/refrigeration units and have problem-solving skills to then be able to repair them
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects, including communication with colleagues and customers
- Installation of refrigeration walk in chillers and freezers
Requirements
- FGAS qualification, minimum of NVQ Level 2
- Strong knowledge related to air conditioning and refrigeration systems of all ages, including installation, maintenance and repair work
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Timekeeping to keep projects running smoothly
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients
- Clean driving licence
