Our well-established Peterborough based client are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join them on a full-time permanent basis, working Monday – Friday 8.45am - 5.15pm.
In this key leadership role as Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business, retaining existing clients, and managing a successful sales team.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping sales strategy and supporting continued business growth. This is primarily an office-based role with a requirement to travel to clients' sites as required.
As a Sales Manager you will be required to:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a sales team to meet and exceed targets
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Drive new business opportunities while maintaining strong client retention
- Manage stakeholder relationships
- Provide regular performance reviews, coaching, and development support
- Support and train stakeholders to ensure activity is conducted within regulations
- Produce management information and performance reports for senior stakeholders
- Oversee accurate checking and authorisation of commission payments
- Provide competitor and market intelligence to inform business decisions
- Attend management and sales meetings as required
- Travel as necessary to meet clients, brokers, and introducers
To be considered for the Sales Manager role you will have:
- Proven experience in insurance or financial services sales
- Previous experience in a sales management or team leadership role
- Strong understanding of FCA-regulated environments
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
