This full-time permanent role based in Lincoln offers a fantastic opportunity for someone in the early stages of their HR journey who is ready to get hands-on experience across all areas. As a HR Assistant you’ll join a small supportive HR team working Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm getting involved in everything from recruitment coordination and onboarding new starters to maintaining employee records and supporting day-to-day HR queries. No two days will look the same, and you’ll gain real exposure to how HR supports a growing business. This is a great step for someone looking to grow their HR career in a role that offers variety, responsibility, and development. This HR Assistant role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their skills further. You’ll be guided by experienced colleagues but also trusted to take ownership of your work as your confidence grows.

As a HR Assistant you will get involved with:

  • Supporting recruitment and helping create a great candidate experience
  • Assisting with onboarding and ensuring new starters feel welcome from day one
  • Keeping HR systems and records accurate and up to date
  • Support payroll process, dealing with payroll related queries
  • Helping coordinate key employee processes like reviews and absence tracking, training, performance reviews and appraisals
  • Providing first-line support for everyday HR queries
  • Getting involved in projects and learning about wider HR activities
  • General HR administration including diary management

For this HR Assistant role we’re looking for someone who:

  • Previous experience of working within HR
  • Either be studying already towards CIPD Level 3 or already have the qualification
  • Is organised, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Has strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting others
