Our superb client based near Cambridge is seeking an experienced and / or degree educated Commercial Director to join them on a full-time permanent basis working Monday to Friday.
As Commercial Director, you will have responsibility for:-
- Leading the commercial function across a well-established, successful organisation
- Providing strategic commercial direction, ensuring on-target and on-budget project delivery.
- Overseeing live project compliance, managing commercial risk, project forecasting, leading project tenders, bids and estimation, overseeing procurement, negotiation.
- Presenting commercial performance to the company Board.
- Establish effective commercial policies and procedures ensuring project best practice.
- Building and sustaining commercial relationships with supply chain partners, contractors and clients.
- Making commercial business decisions and working closely with key personnel within HSEQ, operations & logistics.
- Developing and mentoring an experience team of Commercial Managers and Quantity Surveyors, performance managing and capability planning.
- Set and monitor cashflow targets across your projects
To be considered for the role of Commercial Director, you will have extensive experience working within the civil engineering / construction industry, where you will have an impressive background in leading commercial teams and managing multi-million pound projects. You will hold a degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying and be MCIOB / MRICS or working towards. You will have strong negotiation and analytical skills, be commercially astute, have strong leadership skills and will be a confident communicator. You will also how a full UK driving licence for travelling to other offices and project sites.
In return, for the role of Commercial Director, our client is offering a starting salary of c 120,000, company car, 25 days paid annual leave plus statutory holidays, Private Healthcare, Pension, Employee Assistance Programme, and much more.
