Job Description:
This role is for an enterprise architect. Day-to-day your responsibilities will likely include:
- Producing high level designs for the next generation retail payments infrastructure
- Researching best practices across payment systems and comparable systems and distilling your insights into strategic recommendations
- Engaging with industry to understand their needs, processes and journeys
- Designing end-to-end user journeys
- Producing papers to share your thinking and gain buy-in for your positions from internal and external boards/forums
- Partnering with members of the Retail Payment Innovation Board Design Authority and the newly established Delivery Company to ensure that the work they produce aligns with the overall goals of the initiative
Minimum experience:
- Proven ability to communicate and gain buy-in for ideas and approaches
- Proven ability to analyse complex problems, break them into their constituent pieces, and make recommendations based on that analysis
- Proven ability to set out competing choices, evaluate their pros and cons against public policy drivers and make recommendations based on agreed strategy
Essential criteria:
- A deep interest in technology and how we can use it to drive outcomes for the public
- Demonstrable interest in retail payments and the desire and drive to create a genuinely transformative proposition for the country
Desirable criteria:
