Job Description

Summary of Role

TheProjectServicesManagerrolehas dual responsibilities in project and business environmentsdelivering on projectobjectivesand supporting the successful capture of future projects through relationships,proposalsand tendering.

Primary Project Role

  • Key member of a project management team reporting to the Project Director
  • Accountable for the Project Operating Rhythm, Project Information Management System, integration of plans, estimates and forecasts, and integrated risk, change, action and decision registers
  • Responsible for plan analysis, comparison, normalisation and negotiations with suppliers and contractors
  • Responsible for Budget and Forecast analysis, comparison, normalisation and negotiations with suppliers and contractors
  • Responsible for guiding the project leadership team, and engaging the project stakeholder team
  • Responsible for the Final Investment Decision Support Package and Execute Work Plan and Budget
  • Responsible for the Project Decision Authority matrix

Primary Business Role

Account Management

  • Build successful working relationships with clients
  • Identify and win repeat business from clients
  • Engage with clients on a regular basis to ensure awareness of opportunities
  • Continuously improve service delivery through client feedback and market awareness

Business Development

  • Build successful networks and relationships
  • Identify and win new opportunities
  • Engage widely with the energy market to ensure awareness of opportunities
  • Develop winning proposals and tender responses

Supporting Role

Resourcing

  • In conjunction with the Operations Director, ensure that projects are resourced with competent personnel

Recruitment

  • Identify and share recruitment requirements with the Business Services team
  • Input to identification, interview, selection and onboarding of new resources

Business & Operations

  • Demonstrate company values
  • Support the ambition and delivery of Company Performance Objectives
  • Support the development of Company Business Plan
  • Use and promote the company Processes and Procedures
  • Promote a safe and healthy working environment

This will be done in-line with the Infinity business processes and procedures as detailed in the ISO9001:2015 Management System.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ability to network with industry contacts across energy sectors
  • Ability to identify and win Projects
  • Develop first class, winning proposals
  • Ability to successfully deliver projects on time and budget
  • Experienced in all areas of project acquisition, management and close-out
  • Ability to build, motivate, mentor and lead

  • Manager
  • Direct Reports (1-5)
  • Indirect Reports (5-10)

Key External Interfaces

  • Client Engineers and Management

Excellent understanding of project management systems and tools.

  • Degree level academic achievement or demonstrable relevant experience
  • Project Management certification preferred but not essential

Company Training Requirements

In- house training will be provided, and external courses will be utilised if/as required.
