Hand Sewer / Seamstress / Sewing Machinist
Infinity Keepsakes Gifts is a small, friendly Plymouth-based business creating handmade keepsakes from customers' treasured clothing.
We create memory bears, keepsake animals, cushions, blankets and other special keepsakes, often using clothing that holds great sentimental value to our customers.
We are looking for a Hand Sewer / Sewing Assistant to join our team and help us during our busy Christmas period.
The role
- Hand sewing and finishing keepsakes to a high standard
- Machine sewing keepsakes
- Following individual customer order requirements and production instructions
- Assisting with machine sewing where required
- Opportunity to learn and assist with embroidery
- Checking completed keepsakes for quality, accuracy and presentation
- Making small adjustments or repairs where necessary
- Working carefully with a wide variety of clothing, fabrics and materials
- Keeping your work area clean and organised
- Working as part of our small team to meet production deadlines
This position will initially be a temporary Christmas role to support us through our busiest time of year. There is the potential for the role to become permanent in the New Year for the right person.
