Working within the Infinity Group marketing team, specifically within the Demand Generation Function, the Sales Development Consultant will lead and manage the SDR function while maintaining a hands‑on role in pipeline generation. This player‑manager role combines strategic oversight of the sales development pipeline with direct responsibility for outbound and inbound demand generation across Modern Workplace, Security, and Business Applications Business Units. The role will work closely with both marketing and sales teams, line‑manage the SDR and drive continuous improvement of the demand generation process.

As a SDR you’ll be responsible for:
- SDR Management: Line manage and coach the Sales Development Representative, setting objectives, conducting regular 1:1s, and supporting their professional development. Define and refine SDR sequencing processes, playbooks, and best practices to drive consistent, high‑quality pipeline generation. Monitor SDR performance metrics and provide actionable feedback to ensure targets are met across inbound and outbound activities. Support the strategy for scaling the SDR function in line with business growth objectives.
- Outbound Prospecting: Execute and oversee outbound SDR sequencing to drive net‑new demand within target Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) across Modern Work, Security, and Business Applications. Utilise and champion standard SDR sequencing processes, including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling, to generate new business opportunities. Support the generation of new opportunities within the existing account base to facilitate cross‑sell.
- Inbound Lead Qualification: Oversee the management, nurturing, and qualification of inbound leads from various channels (Website, Phone, Email, Live Chat, Campaign activity, etc.) and their conversion into Sales Accepted Leads (SALs) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs). Manage, nurture, and qualify leads generated from Microsoft sources, including Partner Centre and AppSource leads, and cover for Microsoft Seller passed leads when necessary.
- Pipeline Management: Own the end‑to‑end pipeline of engaged leads generated by marketing, with a view to converting these into Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and ultimately SALs for both Modern Work and Business Applications Sales Teams. Ensure regular check‑ins with Sales teams to follow up on leads pushed back to Marketing from SQL and ensure Marketing‑generated leads are being followed up on at the SQL stage.
- Collaboration and Relationship Building: Work with the marketing team to support and shape demand generation campaign efforts. Work with Sales teams to build relationships with Microsoft SMC and SMB teams and act as the senior point of contact for leads coming into the business from this route. Support the marketing team with internal and Microsoft events, acting as the point of contact for all leads generated. Work with stakeholders outside of the marketing team to build relationships across the Microsoft account teams to support lead generation activities.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide monthly reports on lead activity, trends, conversion rates, and new business wins, delivering insights to the marketing and sales teams. Ensure Microsoft Partner Centre is kept up to date with won/lost opportunities, ensuring both Microsoft and Infinity generated leads are tracked and managed.
- Tools and Systems: Champion HubSpot and Dynamics 365 internally, gathering feedback on what is working and not working. Ensure data governance and quality standards are adhered to across both Marketing and Sales teams.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties deemed suitable for this role by your line manager.
