Infinity Employment are seeking Quality Engineers to work on behalf of our industry-leading client, specialising in providing Engineering Solutions to various sectors. You will be responsible for fully supporting the Quality Manager in maintaining company quality expectations through compliance with company policies, system procedures, work instructions and specifications. Driving improvements, the Quality Engineer will ensure the timely completion of 8D investigations and be the first point of contact for any quality escalations. This contract will be based in Worcestershire for a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended. Must have experience within a manufacturing environment. For the right candidates, more contracts will follow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day quality support to production and lineside operations
- Assist manufacturing teams with quality-related concerns and process improvements
- Support containment activities and non-conformance management on the shop floor
- Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions using 8D / RCCA methodologies
- Perform product and process audits to ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation
- Support first-off inspections and in-process verification activities
- Liaise with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues effectively
- Monitor and report quality performance metrics and trends
- Assist with FAIR documentation and inspection reporting where required
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality standards and internal procedures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving process capability
- Support customer and internal audits when required
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Quality role
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and production environments
- Experience supporting shop floor or lineside quality activities
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes
- Good understanding of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
