Infinity Employment are seeking Mechanical Assemblers to join a leading manufacturing team specialising in fire and safety equipment. You will work within the Boxing department and report to the Team Leader. Assembling pre folded sheet metal parts to mechanical layout drawings and creating top level assemblies from sub assembly parts.

  • IMMEDIATE START
  • 12 Week Temp - Perm opportunity
  • Shift pattern applies: Mon – Thurs 07:30 – 16:15, Fri - 07:30 – 12:15pm
  • After probation period: Mon – Thurs 09:30am – 18:00pm, Fridays- 09:30 -2pm
  • Salary £26,000 per year depending on experience plus overtime when available

Responsibilities:

  • Sub-assembly build and fitting into larger assemblies
  • Following standard operating procedures
  • Use of mechanical hand tools to assemble components/products
  • Working to tight time schedules
  • Final inspection of finished products with a strong commitment to quality
  • Maintain General House Keeping, by keeping in work area clean and tidy
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed and to maintain all quality systems to meet the production targets

Experience:

  • Experience from within sheet metal or similar environment with use of hand tools
  • Ability to interpret and implement instructions and mechanical drawings
  • Good team player, good communication skills
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly or a similar role
  • Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong practical skills and a proactive approach to work
