Warehouse Operative / Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Driver

Infinity Employment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing distributor of metals and plastics, supplying high-quality materials including aluminium, stainless steel, acrylic, PVC and copper to customers across the aerospace, marine and engineering industries.

Location: Havant Job Type: Full-time (Temp to Perm -12 week reduced to 4 weeks for the right person) Salary: £13.15 per hour (increasing upon successful permanent placement)

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating both Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Picking, packing and preparing customer orders accurately.
  • Moving stock throughout the warehouse.
  • Booking goods in and out using warehouse systems.
  • Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Ensuring products are stored safely and correctly.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Working closely with colleagues to meet daily operational targets.

Experience

  • Valid Counterbalance and Reach Forklift licences (essential).
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Experience handling long-length materials or metal products would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking with an excellent work ethic.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
