Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a AC Engineer to join a facilities maintenance team based in Tilbury.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical and HVAC assets, ensuring equipment is maintained safely, efficiently and in line with contractual and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on AC and mechanical assets across site.
- Attend and rectify mechanical faults and breakdowns.
- Complete mechanical remedial works as required.
- Carry out PPM tasks in accordance with company schedules and contractual requirements.
- Ensure all planned maintenance is completed to a high professional standard.
- Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair or replacement requirements.
- Produce technical and situational reports where required.
- Accurately update maintenance systems and digital records following completed works.
- Use company-provided technology and CAFM systems to maintain compliance with contractual obligations.
- Escalate significant faults, incidents or site issues to the relevant Line Manager promptly.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
- Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are maintained safely and appropriately.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration or Air Conditioning.
- Valid F-Gas certification.
- Hot Water Systems and Safety / G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification.
- Water Regulations qualification.
- Good knowledge of L8 / Legionella awareness and compliance.
- PASMA certification.
- IPAF certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to obtain or hold a clear DBS.

- Commercial HVAC maintenance.
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
