About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver engineering and technology projects across sectors including infrastructure, transportation, systems integration, digital transformation, and engineering services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects through the full lifecycle from initiation to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Manage project scope, risks, issues, and change control processes.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams.
  • Manage interfaces between clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Support design reviews, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Review supplier quotations, contracts, and variations.
  • Lead project meetings and provide progress reporting to senior management.
  • Build strong client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain project documentation, governance records, and lessons learned.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing engineering, technology, infrastructure, or systems projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within rail, transportation, utilities, construction, defence, facilities management, or technology sectors.
  • Knowledge of systems integration, digital transformation, software, or engineering delivery projects.
  • Experience working with NEC, JCT, or similar contract frameworks.
  • Familiarity with BIM, CAFM, CMMS, or enterprise technology platforms.

Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Technology, Construction, Business, or Project Management.
  • PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP, or equivalent project management qualification.
