About the Role

We’re looking for electrically qualified technicians to support dynamic testing, fault identification, and system performance validation of rolling stock. As the electrical technician you will be responsible for testing phases, working alongside engineering, testing, and commissioning teams to ensure the fleet is reliable, compliant, and ready for full passenger operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor system performance in real time
  • Perform fault-finding and diagnostics on electrical, mechanical, and software-integrated systems
  • Liaise with engineering, testing, and depot teams to log, report, and escalate issues during dynamic testing and early service rollout
  • Conduct basic corrective actions and support deeper root-cause investigations
  • Capture detailed technical data and support the continuous improvement
  • Ensure all work complies with railway safety, quality, and technical standards

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Rail Engineering
  • Experience in rolling stock, rail vehicle commissioning, or fleet introduction projects
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills (traction, toilets, catering equipment, doors, HVAC, control systems)
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test data
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure during live service support
