We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Bank Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless day-to-day banking operations while delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the banking sector, work with a dynamic team, and assist customers with their financial needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with basic banking services, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and account inquiries.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive banking experience.
- Support the branch with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Resolve customer queries efficiently, escalating complex matters when necessary.
- Promote and assist with bank products and services such as savings accounts, loans, and online banking.
- Maintain cash handling accuracy, security, and adherence to bank policies.
- Assist with opening and closing accounts, updating customer details, and verifying documentation.
- Process cheques, drafts, and other standard banking instruments.
- Ensure compliance with all bank regulations, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support senior team members in achieving branch targets and objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle cash transactions with speed and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and banking systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or banking role is desirable but not essential.
