  • Leading on Mechatronic Control Systems and guiding others with clarity
  • Feedback and Feedforward loops, with a thoughtful approach to problem-solving
  • Effective application of PID processes
  • Working with Bode plots, Pole-Zero plots, system transfer functions and stability criteria, considering both time and frequency domain performance
  • Using programming languages such as LabVIEW, Python or MATLAB; FPGA (VHDL) knowledge is a lovely bonus
  • Experience designing tests and setting pass/fail criteria across electrical/electronic and mechanical disciplines
  • Ability to manage your own projects with care — including time planning, resource coordination and clear, supportive updates to key stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of digital filtering (ideally in FPGAs)
  • Experience of driving piezos, and knowledge of hysteresis in piezos
  • Knowledge of metrology and measurement systems

Education / Qualifications:

Either a BSc/BEng in Physics, Engineering or similar, or a clear equivalent path through relevant apprenticeship or accumulated experience.
